Tom is a writer for stage and screen and a past winner of the Cameron Mackintosh Award for New Writing. His most recent play, Boris World King (“Nigh-on essential” Guardian, **** Times, Evening Standard), sold out two years at the Edinburgh Fringe before transferring to the West End. His work has been produced across the UK and internationally, as well as for BBC Radio 4, BBC2, Toronto Webfest and the Tate Modern.
Recent theatre work includes Boris: World King (Pleasance Edinburgh and Trafalgar Studios), Nonsense & Sensibility (Arts Theatre, London), Not The Messiah (Theatre503 and UK tour) and A Live Transmission Of Adventure Time (Soho Theatre). Recent radio includes material for The World This Weekend and The Best Of Newsjack (both Radio 4). Recent TV and film includes Piss Artist (for Tate Modern), Missing Something (online and Toronto webfest) and An Admin Worker At The End Of The World (short film with BrotherBrother).
Tom also writes for children, including 3 years of commissions for the Young REC Theatre Company in Derbyshire and creating children’s show The Adventure Machine – the first Edinburgh Fringe show ever to receive 5 stars from The Stage.
